Seed Starting Party and Vegetable Gardening Basics
In this class you will learn the brilliant European method for starting seeds using a tool called a soil blocker. Everyone goes home with 12 planted soil blocks. Learn when to start planting outside, what seeds not to start inside, and more spring gardening basics. Bring seeds to share with others.
Learn how to start your vegetable garden inside to get a jumpstart on your garden. Also covered in class: vegetable gardening basics, high yields in small spaces, when to start planting outside, equipment for indoor growing, and hardening-off the seedlings in preparation for transplanting.
Bring some of your favorite varieties of seeds to share with everyone else (especially those that can grow in containers) and double your sprouting fun. We will be have a soil blocker demonstration then everyone will get to try it for themselves!
Participants will take home seeds that they start in the class.
